Is it really free?
Yes. Every feature is free, there are no adverts and there's no paid tier. Your data is never sold.
Can I get it on my phone?
You can use Hip.Golf in your phone's browser today and add it to your home screen. The Android app is in testing on Google Play, and the iPhone app is coming. Your account works in all of them.
Does it work with no signal on the course?
Yes. Scores save on your phone as you go and sync when you're back in signal.
Is the handicap official?
No. Hip.Golf works out a handicap index from your rounds using the World Handicap System method, so you can track it between rounds. Your official index still comes from your club.
Do my playing partners need the app?
No. You can score for up to three partners on your phone, guests can play in competitions without an account, and anyone can follow a live leaderboard link in their browser.
Can I add a round after I've played it?
Yes. Log it live on the course, or type in the card when you get home. Either way it counts towards your stats, handicap and league.
Which courses are in it?
Over 2,400 clubs across the UK and Ireland, with tees, par and stroke index. If yours is missing, you can add it.
