Hip.Golf is a golf app for keeping your rounds and playing with the people you golf with. It is run by David Flavell in the United Kingdom. By creating an account you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.
The short version
You need to be at least 13 to use Hip.Golf. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account. Use one account per person, and a name that is yours or a nickname your friends would recognise. Don't pretend to be someone else.
You can post rounds, scores, photos, comments, reactions and messages, and choose a display name and photo. You keep ownership of what you post. You give Hip.Golf permission to store it and show it to the people the app shows it to (see who can see what), for as long as it is on your account.
You must not post anything that:
The same applies to display names, profile photos, group names, competition names and meetup details.
Every comment, round message and player has a Report option. Reports go to the person who runs Hip.Golf, who reviews them, normally within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed. For a name or photo, that means replacing it. Accounts that break them repeatedly or seriously are suspended or deleted.
Blocking a player hides their comments, likes and messages from you and yours from them, and stops them adding you again. They are not told. Blocked players and unblocking are under Profile → Blocked players.
To report something urgent, or anything the in-app Report doesn't cover, email hipgolfapp@gmail.com.
Handicaps in Hip.Golf are estimates calculated in the style of the World Handicap System. They are not an official handicap from a golf union. Competitions, leagues and challenges are for fun between friends: Hip.Golf does not hold, pay out or settle any money, and organisers are responsible for how they run their events.
Course details, scorecards and weather come from third parties and may be incomplete or wrong. Check the scorecard at the club if it matters.
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account), or ask for deletion here. Hip.Golf may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms. Hip.Golf may also change or stop parts of the service. If it stops altogether, you will be given notice and a chance to export your rounds.
Hip.Golf is free and run by one person. It is provided "as is", without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Hip.Golf is not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by content other users post. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
If these terms change in a way that matters, the app will tell you and ask you to agree again before you post. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you keep the protections of your local consumer law.
